Show Fever Pink
I have two dogs with what looks like pink eye?
I think it might be conjunctivitis but I’m not sure. Their eyes are both blood shoot and they have a thick yellow discharge. Do I been to take them to the vet right away? Some web pages I’ve read say to wait to see if the discharge clears up in 48 and some say it’s simply caused by an irritant that can be easily fixed by flushing the eyes with saline solution. Some web pages even say that conjunctivitis will cause fever and lack of energy in the dogs. I’m a bit baffled by the fact that both dogs started showing symptoms at the same time.
If you suspect your pooch has this, please see the vet. It’s so contagious yet easily treatable. No need for panic, just wash your hands well, ensure you do not touch eyes and especially another canine eye etc….
